Safety Leaders are asleep in a Copilot pillow. It's time to wake up ⏰  

Why I wrote this guide

Copilot is powerful and largely used by most enterprises. The reason is simple: Most companies already use Microsoft 365 apps so Copilot is the natural choice and "less risky". HR, finance and operations are using it regularly, but safety professionals haven't used it beyond the chat box. This is not a technology problem, it's a capability problem.

EHS professionals aren't resistant to AI. It is that nobody has explained it to us in our own language, with our own constraints, and with an honest account of where it fails. Most Copilot training is written for marketing teams. It assumes the worst outcome of a mistake is an awkward email or branding colors.

Our worst outcome is somebody hurt, and a document with our signature on it being read out in an investigation. So this guide is written for people who carry that accountability. It will show you what the tool does well, and it will be equally direct about where it must never be trusted.

It's my take, obviously so trust but verify.
